Let the Sorta Disappointing Times Roll!

Attention to all those dealing with grief and despair about our present condition and the world at large and stuff just out of our grasp, slipping through our chubby fingers, disappointments of the past or present things that confound and break the heart: Stop it. Read Romans 8:28. Again. Then again again.Below we have a few different versions/translations of interpretation so we can all get it into our brain core. Take into account the ancient Harvard College Rah just recently unearthed from under my bed. Believe it or not there really are things there that date back to the Rosetta stone. Its encourging to know that the brilliant litterati and Bible-latti (also can be found at a Dei-friendly Starbuck's near you) had the tough-times 'rah' down pat. A friend of a friend in New Hampshire that is a decendant of the great and extremely cute n sassy Godly uber-man-beyond-compare John Adams used to write the following to his turtledove and fab wife for life Abbi the following "I will be set free from my personal garbage (no matter what nut-cases are in congress holdin' me down)" rah:

It's a bummer and I have no power on my own
sis boom bah
But bless the Lord, Agnus Dei, He can fix all the stuff I mess up with my outrageous stupidity and mistakes and failings, so I’ll abide in Him continually and wait and see what He has in store, babe
Rah-Rah-Rah!

Repeaten!

And we know that
God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (NASB: Lockman)
Greek: o
idamen (1PRAI) de hoti tois agaposin (PAPMPD) ton theon panta sunergei (3SPAI) eis agathon, tois kata prothesin kletois ousin. (PAPMPD) Amplified: We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose. (Amplified Bible - Lockman)NLT: And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. (NLT - Tyndale House)Phillips: Moreover we know that to those who love God, who are called according to his plan, everything that happens fits into a pattern for good. (Phillips: Touchstone)Wuest: And we know with an absolute knowledge that for those who are loving God, all things are working together resulting in good, for those who are divinely-summoned ones according to His purpose. (Erdmans) Young's Literal: And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

And don’t forget…
"A PSALM OF LIFE"
Tell me not in mournful numbers,"Life is but an empty dream!"For the soul is dead that slumbers,And things are not what they seem.Life is real! Life is earnest! And the grave is not its goal;"Dust thou art, to dust returnest,"Was not spoken of the soul. Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,Is our destined end or way;But to act, that each to-morrowFind us further than to-day.Art is long, and Time is fleeting,And our hearts, though stout and brave,Still, like muffled drums, are beatingFuneral marches to the grave. In the world's broad field of battle,In the bivouac of Life,Be not like dumb, driven cattle!Be a hero in the strife!Trust no Future, howe'er pleasant!Let the dead Past bury its dead!Act -- act in the living Present!Heart within, and God o'erhead!Lives of great men all remind usWe can make our lives sublime,And, departing, leave behind usFootprints on the sands of time;Footprints, that perhaps another,Sailing o'er life's solemn main,A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,Seeing, shall take heart again.Let us, then, be up and doing,With a heart for any fate;Still achieving, still pursuing,Learn to labour and to wait,By
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882).

We will go into detail of interpretation line by line soon…

Love and straightjackets go together. At least she doesn't catch fish with her mouth. Rik may have issues with that one, no matter how cute she is.
